Integral Power’s mission is to grow our asset portfolio by helping industrials save on utilities by commercializing waste energy sources, or via lowering their power and steam costs with a Combined Heat & Power (CHP) project. In other words, we develop projects to "recycle" energy. IP wears many hats throughout the various phases of development from concept through commercial operation:
- Conceptual screening: Site visits, initial design configuration and performance modeling
- Feasibility study: Design refinement, initial proforma, market assessment
- Preliminary engineering: Cost estimation, performance and proforma refinement, initial project schedule, terms development
- Definitive agreements: IP typically drafts in-house
- Financing: IP partners with equity and debt from various sources depending on project scale, application and available incentives
- Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC): Oversight of major contractor(s)
- Asset management: Management of Project Co. and oversight of O&M
IP's development portfolio includes CHP projects ranging in size from 5 to 500MW, and 50,000 to 1 million lbs/hr of steam for process use. We target both natural gas fueled CHP opportunities and unique bottoming cycle applications utilizing waste energy sources; these can incorporate a wide range of fuels including process waste heat such as coke calcining and cement kilns, process tail gases from manufacturing plants such as carbon black, refinery petroleum coke, railroad ties and other bio-fuels.

Integral Power Engineering, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Integral Power, and provides technical support functions for our own projects as well as contract services for others. We utilize in-house resources as well as our substantial network of 3rd party sub-contractors and industry partners to perform engineering/consulting studies on a case-by-case basis.
IP Engineering services include:
- Project screening studies
- Electrical studies such as short circuit and load flow analysis
- Thermal/cycle development and studies
- Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and P&ID development
- Asset optimization
